5K For Uganda Glow Run / Walk

All the proceeds go toward the DPT medical service trip to Uganda. We will be working with patients in rural communities.

Help spread health and wellness across the globe by supporting students and faculty from George Fox University School of Physical Therapy who will be traveling to Uganda, Africa this coming June. We will be partnering with local leaders and advocacy groups to provide training, education, and instruction in the treatment and management of children/people in need of physical therapy.

Cancellation Policy

A $10 handling fee will be charged for cancellations received up to one week prior to the event.

After that date, refunds will not be given. No refunds for no-shows.

Where is this event taking place?
The course will start on the George Fox track, will travel around the perimeter of campus twice, and finish back on the track. The entire course will be on sidewalks or walking paths!

How dark will it be since this event is at nighttime?
Sunset on April 5th is projected to be at 7:45 PM and will be dark by about 8:30 PM. Therefore, most participants will be on the course when it is still light out. While we want to make the most of it being a "glow run," we want participants to be safe and that is why we are starting before sunset!

What is the course like (hilly, sidewalk, etc)?
The entire course is paved or partially on the track. There are a few hills to encounter as well. If you would prefer to be on a more controlled course, concerned about the hills, or are worried about participating over sunset, we will allow participants to run/walk around the track!

Are dogs or strollers welcome?
Strollers are more than welcome! Keep in mind there are a couple hills to navigate, but they are all paved. Dogs are unfortunately not allowed on the track, but are welcome to join so long as you know that you will not be able to start/finish the race on the track.
